Deep Drawn Metal Stamping of Brass Electrical Components

This brass funnel entry sleeve (used within an electrical connector) was produced on a 5-10 Waterbury Farrrel ICOP transfer press.  In order to meet “global” price structures for this item and to reduce distance and transportation costs (to the using plant), it was manufactured in our facility in Binh Duong, Vietnam.

The part features a “funnel entry” design which groups strands of wire together for fast, easy, positive entry into the terminal barrel. This design eliminates wire strand hang-up and positions the wire perfectly for a positive crimp. This sleeve is one in a family of products produced from various brass alloys.  

Tolerances of ±.001″ are required on the ID and 65,000,000 units are made annually and sold to both domestic and international customers.
